NYE Appetizer Roundup

by Kris on December 29, 2011

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I have been enjoying the holidays in California with Greg’s family and my mum. I was completely spoiled by everyone Christmas morning and had a great time getting to know the Johnson family. Now that Christmas has passed, we have one last holiday for 2011; New Years Eve! We haven’t decided on a plan yet, but I’m sure most of you are ready to celebrate and watch the ball drop. To bring in the new year, here is a roundup of my favorite appetizers for 2011. Eat, drink and be merry! See y’all in 2012!

Roasted Red Pepper Stuffed Mushrooms, a great vegetarian appetizer

Bring some island flavour to your new years eve party with Trinidadian Doubles

Crunchy and sweet, these cinnamon apple chips will surely be a hit

Asparagus Fontina Pizza is simple yet delicious!

A spoonful of this fresh tomato basil pasta sauce on a toasted baguette makes an excellent bruschetta!

Olive tapenade is a great spread for sandwiches or even crostini

Caramelized onions are great on their own or in a bite sized tart

Make bite sized tamale stuffed peppers by filling jalapenos

Make your cheese board more unique with a roasted garlic bulb

You can never go wrong with perogies

Mango pineapple salsa is a fresh Caribbean twist on the party staple

Make your guests happy with these slow cooked spare ribs

Be easy on your waistline with this peanut butter yogurt fruit dip

Refreshing and healthy, tabouleh is a classic middle eastern appetizer

Serve tzatziki in hollowed baby cucumbers or with pita chips

Not only delicious, but hummus is also healthy. You can’t go wrong

Happy New Year!

These all look stunning! Your photography makes me want to cry. The hummus pic is especially gorgeous. I did, in fact, make your Mexican Cocoa recipe, like 9 batches of it! And gave it out to my whole family for Christmas. In lovely clamp-top jars I managed to find at a dollar store! I’d post a pic here if I knew how… Thanks for the recipe :D
